Parliament yesterday concluded the swearing in of legislators who will sit in the 12th parliament between 2026 to 2031. Owing to this, several of those who were sworn in have organized thanksgiving ceremonies this weekend.
Notable of these functions is a thanksgiving in which outgoing Minister of Defense and Veteran affairs Jacob Oboth Oboth who has since been endorsed by Muhoozi and his political bus Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) as the candidate for the speakership of the 12th parliament.
In a dramatic turn of events, a strong wind has this evening disrupted the thanksgiving ceremony of Kigulu South legislator Andrew Kiiza Kaluya of the National Unity Platform leaving the crowd scampering and running for their lives.
The organizers are yet to come out to reveal if there was loss of property or life.
