In the news this morning, another cloud of sorrow hovers above Tooro Kingdom following the death of Prince David Kijjanangoma Araali who has lost the battle to throat cancer according to reports.
Prince David has been battling stage-three cancer and his family has been appealing to the public for financial assistance to take him abroad for medication but unfortunately he has lost the battle to the killer disease at the Mulago cancer institute.
His death comes at the backdrop of mourning the King Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV who also succumbed to cancer in the United States and was buried last Saturday at the Karambi Royal Tombs in Fort Portal City.
Prince David Kijjanangoma sometime in 2015 claimed to have overthrown the late King Oyo whom he accused of abandoning the kingdom to live in Kampala and abroad sometimes. He also accused the Queen Mother Best Kemigisha of interference in Tooro Kingdom matters.
His wishes however have since been answered after the Babiito clan elders voted his young brother Prince Edward Kijjanangoma a former UBC journalist as the next King of Tooro Kingdom. Edward’s ascendance to the throne face some hicups with government delaying his gazettement over succession disputes.
